Bryn & Anna had the most lovely wedding at Otley Chevin Country Park. The surroundings were to die for – a beautiful lake, forests everywhere, birds singing and the sun shining.
They decided to go for a first look (which I love!). I set it up for them in the middle of the woods so we could get some dreamy portraits and also be hidden from view so they could have a moment to themselves before the ceremony.
The ceremony took place on the balcony of the hotel overlooking the lake. It was a humanist ceremony led by the beautiful Meg Senior. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Meg told the love story of Anna & Bryn. During the ceremony, each guest made a promise to the bride and groom, which was also really wonderful to photograph as their were so many emotions! I really do hope I get to do more humanist ceremonies in the future, as they are so personal to the couple! Also, I couldn’t recommend Meg more as she was brilliant.
There was a canine ring bearer who brought the rings up to the couple. I really do love a dog at a wedding. Or any animal for that matter. I hope you enjoy the confetti shot of the dog too because it really is adorable. I am yet to see a cat at a wedding…anyone want to facilitate that for me? Thanks!
After the ceremony all the guests had afternoon tea, followed by some heartfelt speeches. I really loved the detailing on the tables – including seeds which when planted, attract bees! Gotta love a couple who do their bit for the environment.
The day was finished off by all the guests helping to make a stag and hare themed appliqué for the couple’s new family crest. Everyone coming together and making it as a family was really something special. I’m sure the final product will look beautiful!
Hope you enjoy the images!
