Stockport Town Hall Wedding Photographer

Sophie and Daniel’s Stockport Town Hall wedding was such a blast. I really didn’t know just quite how stunning the inside of the town hall was until I got there. Of course I had seen images online, and saw that the lead singer of Blossoms got married there – but nothing prepared me for how breath-taking the architecture is. To say I was excited would be an understatement! In terms of their guests, I’ve never witnessed such enthusiasm from a crowd during a ceremony. It was absolutely brilliant and great to photograph. There were so many cheers, claps and whoops the whole way through. You could really feel the love in the room from their friends and family and it showed.

Portraits around Stockport Town Centre

After the ceremony we set up the most epic confetti shot of all time. We placed all of the guests up the stairs and above the newlyweds, and let it rain with tissue paper confetti. There was so much confetti that it made for such a great shot! I always recommend at least two handfuls per guest and it really made an impact here. We then took some portraits outside the town hall. I even crossed the huge A-road in front of it just to get a wide shot of them (the dedication is real). We walked through Stockport towards the Produce Hall where their guests got some lunch and waited for the reception at Birch Community Hall.

Birch Community Centre

Once the guests had their fill at the Produce Hall, they met back up at Birch Community Centre. It’s a great local Manchester venue for DIY wedding receptions. I loved the decorations that they made themselves and the cake was super cool! The colours of everything really popped and you can get a surprising amount of guests in there. From memory there were over 100 at this wedding. There were lots of speeches, and after more food they danced the night away while a cover band got the crowd going. Enjoy!
