The morning began in The Faversham’s bright and colourful bridal suite. Rachel’s stunning pearl-adorned hairstyle set the tone for the day. Surrounded by the venue’s amazing collection of plants and modern charm, every detail was effortlessly picture-perfect, creating the ideal setting for the festivities to come.
The first look took place outside Dakota in Leeds City Centre, where James’s reaction to seeing Rachel for the first time was nothing short of heartwarming. From there, the couple wandered through Leeds Civic Hall for portraits. The ceremony at The Faversham was equally unique, led by the fabulous Sarah Garg and featuring a playful quiz about the couple. Guests would stand up if and answer questions about the couple’s relationship which was such a fun addition to the ceremony.
After the heartfelt ceremony, vibrant eco-friendly confetti by Flutter Darlings set the stage for a lively reception. The pink and orange rave-inspired decor perfectly echoed Rachel and James’s love story, which began on a dance floor. The Faversham was originally a gig venue (with the likes of Radiohead playing here back in the day), so it makes sense that these two chose this venue with it’s rich history in the music scene.
As always, The Faversham provided the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable day. Located just minutes from Leeds, it remains a favourite venue of mine for its ability to blend atmosphere, character, and fun so effortlessly.
