Judges Landing is only about a 4 minute walk from The Hospitium in York making it an ideal place to get ready! Amanda got ready and made the short walk over, actually passing another bride on the way who was about to get married herself – it must have been a popular day to get hitched!
The ceremony was downstairs in the venue, where the florist had adorned the pillars with flowers. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony, and it was so lovely to see Amanda & Bradley say their I do’s! After the ceremony the guests chucked a good amount of confetti over the happy couple, and we went off to get some couple portraits.
The great thing about The Hospitium is how close it is to the centre of York. I say close, it’s basically slap bang in the middle. Opposite is the Museum Gardens, making it the perfect spot for photos. There is also York Minster right around the corner which is another great location for some lovely portraits.
Once we got back to the venue, the couple and their guests enjoyed their wedding breakfast in the hall upstairs. Speeches were said and food was eaten, and everyone moved downstairs again to enjoy the live band and the first dance. It started off with a slow song, and then the music stopped and turned into a surprise rick roll! What a way to end the night.
Brilliant from start to finish – I would recommend Claire without any hesitation!
When researching who to pick as our wedding photographer, what struck us was how brilliantly Claire could capture those intimate and personal moments from the day, most of which you don’t even know she’s taking but become your favourite photos.
From our initial consultation with her we knew we had found the personable photographer we were after. Right through to our wedding, Claire was organised and on hand if we ever needed to drop her a line to chat things through – nothing was too much trouble. She is friendly and has great way with people. The end result and the photos of our day we have are exactly what we hoped for and more.
