Hannah + Joe’s Rudding Park wedding is a lovely example of how a small, post-covid wedding can still be a lovely day full of friends, family…and pints.
The new law of 15 guests per wedding due to COVID came into effect the day of their wedding, meaning it had to be an even smaller wedding than the previous 30 – but this didn’t stop them having the best day. At the end of the day, love isn’t cancelled, and you can still get married to your other half and have a great time doing it!
We started the day at the beautiful Rudding Park Spa in Harrogate, where we took some gorgeous couple portraits in the walled garden as well as around their perfectly-manicured grounds. It was forecast to rain but we only had a tiny bit of drizzle – to be honest, I was thankful for it as we got a lovely shot of the two sheltering under an umbrella! Silver linings ‘ey.
I really have missed a good confetti shot, so I was glad the guests brought some along of that too, as it’s probably one of the best parts of the day for me. It’s so much fun to freeze the moment!
We then made our way to the ceremony at Bilton House, also in Harrogate. It’s a lovely little registry office perfect for micro weddings especially in the current climate. It’s right next to The Stray as well, making it super convenient for family photos after the ceremony! Also, it means you can take them on the paved area…meaning no heels sinking into the grass (your welcome ladies).
We then finished up at North Bar for a well deserved pint and some champagne. The staff were brill and everything was super safe and covid-secure! Just good times, good laughs, and an emotional speech from Joe’s dad which was lovely too.
Hope you enjoy the images!
