York Registry Office Wedding

Bride Prep at Clementine’s Town House Hotel

This York Registry Office Wedding with Natasha and Oliver was such a pleasure to photograph. Natasha got ready at Clementine’s Town House Hotel. It’s a super quirky boutique hotel with some really wonderful decor. Walking over to the registry office only takes 10 minutes. It’s super convenient if you’re looking for somewhere to stay!

Ceremony at York Registry Office: Bootham Suite

The ceremony itself had only 2 witnesses and me. It meant it was a really lovely and intimate ceremony. The registry office is absolutely lovely, I am actually having my own legal ceremony myself here next year! There is a quaint little garden just behind it where you can take portraits and group shots. Additionally all the staff there are really friendly too.

Couple Portraits around York City Centre

After the ceremony, the couple embraced tradition with a confetti toss in the garden outside. Then, we set off to explore the historic streets of York. We started with the Museum Gardens, then onto York Minster and The Shambles. We meandered through the narrow, cobblestone streets, where curious onlookers couldn’t resist offering their congratulations. The quaint medieval architecture added an extra layer to their portraits.

Capturing wedding portraits in the enchanting York Museum Gardens is a photographer’s dream come true. With its lush greenery and historic ruins as a backdrop, this idyllic setting provides the perfect canvas for some relaxed wedding portraits.

As we were walking around, we walked past a merry-go-round and I couldn’t resist asking them to get on it! Sadly we didn’t have any change, but the man who manned the ride said they could ride is for free as it was their wedding day!

York Elopement

Natasha & Olivers elopement was a wholesome example of a wedding at York Registry Office. It gave me ample opportunities to capture one of my favourite cities. Therefore it also gave me plenty of ideas about my own legal ceremony next year!
