Alex and Amy’s day started with their ceremony at St. Mary Magdalene in East Keswick and ended at The Hovels on Harewood Estate. It was a stunning September wedding to remember.
The day began with the excited buzz of a wedding – a journey that led from two distinct locations, eventually blending together into a harmonious celebration. Alex and his groomsmen kicked off the festivities at The Duke of Wellington pub, nestled around the corner from the picturesque Church of St. Mary Magdalene in East Keswick. Meanwhile, the radiant bride Amy and her bridesmaids embarked on their pre-wedding preparations in the charming town of Harrogate.
Alex and Amy’s choice of ceremony location was the beautiful St. Mary Magdalene in East Keswick. It’s a beautiful church with stunnung stained glass windows in the middle of the village. It’s also only about a 12 minute drive from their reception venue, The Hovels too as Harewood is only round the corner! It was also super easy for me to get to as at the time I was living on Harewood Estate, so I know it like the back of my hand!
The stunning Harewood Estate was not only the backdrop but also an integral part of this wedding. As we ventured into the heart of the estate, the dense woods provided a captivating setting for capturing the love shared by Amy & Alex. With towering trees and dappled sunlight, it always creates such a perfect environment for couple photos. I know all the best spots around this venue so I can take you there on the day to get some epic shots!
The reception at The Hovels on Harewood Estate was a celebration filled with live music that meant everyone got on the dance floor. There was a singer and a soulful saxophonist which set the dance floor on fire with their performances. Overall it was such a pleasure to photograph their wedding day and I always love shooting at The Hovels.
