Leeds Civic Hall Ceremony
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of documenting countless love stories, each unique in their own way. However, there are some weddings that leave a lasting impression – and the recent wedding I had the pleasure of shooting at Leeds Civic Hall was definitely one of them.
Banquet Hall
The day began at Leeds Civic Hall, a venue I know really well as I have shot here so many times before. Laura and Toby exchanged their vows in a heartfelt ceremony, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including mine, not gonna lie). The grandeur of the Banquet Hall provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony, and their love radiated throughout the room. What made this ceremony even more special was their adorable son, who stole the show as the ring bearer. His enthusiasm added an extra layer of charm to an already beautiful ceremony.
The Dress
Laura’s amazing dress instantly reminded me of Lily Allen’s iconic Vegas wedding dress. Her short wedding dress was super chic and perfect with the backdrop of the city. I’m still obsessed with the whole look – short wedding dresses need to make appearances more often!
City Centre Portraits
After the ceremony, we ventured out into the city of Leeds for some portrait shots. The city centre always gives a great range of different backdrops. Personally I love just getting shots around the city as we make our way to wherever you decide to have your meal or drinks.
Three’s a Crowd Reception
Our journey then led us to the reception venue, Three’s a Crowd Leeds. The lemon yellow themed tablescapes that Laura put together looked so beautiful and it really added some colour to the room.
In the end, it’s not just about the photos; it’s about capturing memories that last for years to come. Laura and Tom’s wedding was so much fun and I love photographing smaller weddings as they are just as special as larger ones. It was an honour to be a part of their special day, and I look forward to capturing more with the weddings I have left this season.
