Mariann & Jake had a wonderful intimate ceremony at Barnsley Town Hall. They had only 4 guests which meant they could concentrate on getting married and having a wonderful day. You can tell by the looks on their faces that they had been waiting so long for the moment to finally happen, and I did find myself shedding a tear or two also. You’ll see in the images how excited they were to finally tie the knot!
The weather was absolutely insane and the sunglasses were out – this made for a pretty epic combination given Mariann and Jake are a super cool couple anyway. Mariann’s dress was made from the most gorgeous forest green silk, and Jake’s suit was a lovely burgundy colour which complimented the green perfectly.
We had portraits outside the Town Hall and then made out way over to Cannon Hall Country Park – where we had a little adventure by exploring around and finding all the best spots (of which there are many!). We also stopped for coffee which was so lovely just to have a little break and chill out in the sun. It also meant I could get some cool shots!
I absolutely love capturing small ceremonies and just disappearing for a bit with my couple and getting some really great images. It can be a perfect opportunity for you both to take a moment or two to let it sink in that you are finally married without the stress of a big day!!
Hope you enjoy the images!
Here is another blog post I wrote about why micro weddings are so great, and why you should have one!
