Paul & Terri’s wedding was an absolute joy to photograph. Tithe Barn is a venue that consists of a huge barn overlooking Bolton Abbey itself. There is also a covered outside area with fire pits, so your guests can keep warm as the sun starts to go down! They have a huge open kitchen at the back where you can see the grills and flames going as they cook (and if you know me, you know I’m all about food).
One of my fave parts about this venue are the huge chandeliers that adorn the old beams. They use real candles for all of them. It’s rare you see that these days, and it gives such a medieval-yet-cosy vibe which makes you feel like you are attending a proper feast. Everything about photographing in here feels grand with the huge ceilings, and the floral pieces adorning them at Paul & Terri’s wedding did not disappoint.
Terri arrived in an old school VW camper van, all the while Paul was shedding some tears and waiting patiently at the front of the aisle. It was so great to capture the moment Terri walked in and Paul saw her in her dress for the first time.
One of the best backdrops at The Tithe Barn has to be getting Bolton Abbey in the background. The venue has such a great view of the abbey which you’ll see in the images below. Anyhoo, I think I’ll just do what I do best and show you some photos…hope you enjoy the images!
