Wyresdale Park is absolutely stunning and so different to any other wedding venue I’ve photographed before in Lancashire. It’s basically like a tiny village – it has it’s own cobbled streets, a cafe, a lake, a cottage, a manor house, beautiful grounds and even a kitchen garden.

Okay, so I know we shouldn’t have favourites…but Helena and Daniel’s wedding back in May was one of the best weddings I’ve ever photographed. It was SO much fun. The whole day was filled with so much emotion and laughter that it was almost impossible choosing which photos to edit. It was jam packed with so many little moments that I had the pleasure of capturing for them. To me it was the documentary photographer’s dream!

The wonderful Bluebells and Daisies is the florist situated on site down the side of the cobbled streets. Helena and Daniel even had lots of their guests stay the night in glamping tents on-site, because yes, it has that too. What more could you want?

The bridal team stayed in the gorgeous Manor House and the groom’s team stayed in the cottage on the other side of the site. I believe the groomsmen had gone for a swim in the lake earlier that morning, which I think definitely would have woken them up!

There was great live music thanks to band Brother Zulu, a flame thrower in the evening and lots and lots of dancing and good vibes. I didn’t want to leave the dancefloor!

Anyway, my absolute fave thing about the day was the fact that I got to photograph the newlyweds on the boat. That was a first for me and I very much enjoyed it.
