A Golden Autumn Wedding at The Sun Pavilion Harrogate

Naomi and Tim’s wedding at The Sun Pavilion Harrogate was pure autumn magic. The sun was shining, the trees in Valley Gardens were glowing, and their florals and confetti carried the most beautiful shades of yellow and orange throughout the day. If you are planning a Sun Pavilion Harrogate wedding, autumn is such an incredible season for colour and atmosphere.

It had been just over a year since I last photographed a wedding at the Sun Pavilion, and it was so good to be back. The space was filled with friends and family, creating the warmest atmosphere from the very start. They even had a sing along during the ceremony, which instantly set the tone for a fun, relaxed celebration. During the speeches they handed out awards, including one for the guest who had travelled the most miles to be there. Such a good way to get your guests involved!

Valley Gardens, Colourful Florals and Electric Energy

The florals from River and Rose were bursting with warm autumn tones that perfectly matched the surrounding nature in Valley Gardens. The confetti moment was just as vibrant, filling the air with colour against the golden afternoon light. Autumn weddings at Sun Pavilion Harrogate have such a dreamy quality to them, especially when the sun shows up like it did for Naomi and Tim.

Their first dance was beautifully choreographed to Sweet Disposition, and when they hit the lift the whole room erupted. The energy was electric and the dance floor stayed full long into the evening. It was one of those moments where everyone feels completely present and invested in the celebration.

My Favourite Season for Wedding Photography

There is something about the transition from summer to autumn that I absolutely love as a wedding photographer. The colours deepen, the air cools down and the light becomes softer and more flattering. For a Harrogate wedding photographer, days like this are a dream.

Naomi and Tim’s wedding was joyful, colourful and packed with personality from start to finish. Sun Pavilion Harrogate is such a beautiful venue for a nature filled, light drenched celebration, and I would happily be back there again very soon.

Claire was everywhere all at once on our wedding day capturing all the moments we were part of and the ones we didn’t get chance to see. She was so efficient with group shots and couple portraits (even our guests noticed this) meaning we could spend more valuable time with our family and friends.

We felt so comfortable around Claire, she was great at directing us in front of the camera and our favourite photos of all are the candid moments she caught of us and our family and friends. Looking through the gallery now, she’s truly captured how the day really felt.

The photos are more than we could have ever asked for and we can’t recommend her enough! 💛
